PHILANTHROPY
The Greater Kansas City Alumnae Club makes an impact on literacy in Kansas City through our partnership with Reach Out & Read KC, which gives young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together. As our local beneficiary, 50% of our donations to the Pi Beta Phi Foundation's Literacy Fund come back to RORKC.

In addition to donating thousands of books and thousands of dollars to Reach Out & Read KC, Phi Phi alumnae have long served on RORKC's Board of Directors, and our members have supported the organization throughout the metro in pediatric care offices and clinics.
We're proud that RORKC's Medical Director, Nurse Practitioner Sallie Page-Goertz, is a Pi Beta Phi alumna and member of our club.
Interested in getting involved with our club's literacy programming efforts in the Kansas City metro? We'd love to have your help! Make a difference by contacting Board Member Mary Burford to learn more!
