Dear Pi Phi Sister,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Greater Kansas City Pi Phi Alumnae Club, congratulations on reaching an important milestone -- 50 years of membership in Pi Phi!

As a 1976 initiate, you're now eligible to be inducted into the Order of the Golden Arrow. Our club celebrates new Golden Arrows at the Summer Soirée event each June. We would love to include you in this year's event, which is Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Mission Hills Country Club. An event invitation is posted on the home page of this website; you can also download a printable invitation by clicking the link below.

We'll have a 45-minute cocktail reception that starts at 5:30 p.m., but we ask that you arrive for a group photo at 5 p.m. This is the photo that will be submitted to The Arrow.

Many have already contacted us to let us know they'll be in attendance; if you haven't, would you please send a quick message to the club's email to let us know you're planning to come: KCPiPhi@gmail.com? Thank you!

In recent years, some classes have used this celebration as a kickoff for a weekend reunion of their entire class (or a smaller gathering of pledge sisters who live in the region). We welcome the opportunity to celebrate all new Golden Arrows that evening, so please keep that in mind when you're visiting with your pledge sisters -- we'll be recognizing several out-of-towners that evening and would love to have your pledge sisters join us.

Getting excited? We hope so!

Preliminary Schedule for June 4

5 p.m. The new Golden Arrow class has group photo taken at Mission Hills Country Club

5:10 p.m. Golden Arrows and their "pinners" receive information about ceremony, where to stand, etc.

5:30 - 6:15 p.m. Cocktail Reception

6:15 p.m. Light Dinner Served

Program to follow

Depending on our numbers, we should be wrapped up by about 7:45 p.m.

What do we wear?

Think:  "upscale casual."

Cute pants and a fun blouse, skirt and simple top, or a casual summer dress are all appropriate. You'll be in several photos, so wear something that makes you feel your best!

I didn't attend an area university and won't have a big group of pledge sisters with me.

Will I feel out of place?

Absolutely not! We're celebrating Pi Phi sisterhood that evening, not specific chapters. It's a special, fun evening, and all of the new Golden Arrows will be treated as a group.

Here's your Golden Arrow "To Do" list:

Today (ASAP)

•  Make sure we know to expect you by sending us an email

•. Order your Golden Arrow pin or pendant, if you haven't already (these take several weeks to arrive). Here's additional information on the Golden Arrow jewelry. It's not required to purchase a special pin in order to be inducted into the Order of the Golden Arrow. If you choose to purchase one, please have it shipped to you and bring it with you that evening. Whether you purchase a pin or not, you will still be "pinned" with the colors of Pi Phi and recognized as a Golden Arrow.

•. Decide if you'd like a special Pi Phi friend to pin you. This can be a family member, pledge sister, Pi Phi neighbor, etc. Ask them if they're available to arrive early on June 4th (a little after 5 p.m.). If you don't have someone in mind, that's no problem. We have a long list of club members who have volunteered to help with this fun honor.

In the next 2 weeks

•. Gather up your old Pi Phi scrapbooks and locate photos/memorabilia from your time in college and/or at Pi Phi alumnae events since graduation; we'll be in touch about that soon.

•. Register by paying $25, if you're a dues-paying club member; if not, please pay $35. Here's the link to register. Online, you will see that the event starts at 5:30. As an honoree, we ask you to arrive no later than 5 p.m.Pinners can arrive a few minutes later, since they won't be in the group photo.

Questions? Don't hesistate to email, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Ring Ching,

Lisa Hoffman, Alumnae Club President
